PIT Count Volunteer Trainings

Description

What is the Point in Time Count?

The New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness and our member agencies work together to coordinate the Albuquerque and Balance of State Point in Time Count. Our goal is to count the current number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness statewide, and to learn more about their specific needs. In order to accomplish this goal, staff and volunteers go into soup kitchens, day shelters and directly to the streets in order to find people.

What does volunteering involve?

Service Site Surveying shifts will be held through February 1st - February 4th. At the service sites, volunteers will conduct a Point in Time Count survey of individuals at the site who have not yet completed the survey.

ALL volunteers are required to attend training, regardless of whether they have former experience conducting the PIT survey.

When does training take place?

In order to participate, please plan on attending one of the following virtual trainings, held over Zoom:

  • Thursday, January 27 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. MT
