We are seeking volunteers to assist us with The Route 66 West Fest, a community event to be held on Saturday, September 25th from 11:00am - 6:00 PM at the Ted M Gallegos Community Center
The hosts are the West Central Community Development Group (WCCDG) and the South West Alliance of Neighborhoods (SWAN) with funding from the City of Albuquerque.
The volunteer opportunities are in the following areas:
- Hospitality Tent Attendant
- Food Court Attendant
- Welcome Area Greeters
- Survey Takers
- Set Up & Tear Down Crew
- Vendor Placement & Management
- Stage Hand & Stage Crew
The goals of the event are to:
- Celebrate the successes in the redevelopment of West Central
- Gather input from the community to identify needs
- Invite and encourage new business to locate on West Central’s Historic Route 66
- Inform the community on projects coming in the near future
- Encourage community residents to get involved in their neighborhoods
Come enjoy a day of live music, food, fun, & car show. Residents will have an opportunity to complete a community survey for a chance to win several high value prizes.
Community organizations and government agencies will have informational booths to provide service and program information to community residents.
