Traffic: You will be outfitted with a sweet neon orange vest and help move cars through the distribution process. It may also mean you will need to be at a street corner a quarter mile from the distribution if we need traffic direction help in that location. This is a great job if you enjoy keeping traffic flowing seamlessly and have always harbored a desire deep down to be a school crossing guard.
Registration: If you like to talk to people, this is the gig for you. This job includes going from car to car and getting people signed up to receive food. We will be utilizing our client tracking software and tablets. If you are interested in this role and need training, we will make sure you are ready to go.
Loading: This is for those who really like to get in there and sling boxes and is more physical than the other two jobs, so keep that in mind. You will be loading food boxes and other items into people's vehicles as they move through the distribution line. Who needs a gym membership when you lift and move hundreds of food boxes?
Some Reminders:
- Dress for the weather! The distribution is held outdoors and will take place rain or shine. Bring sunscreen if needed.
- Bring work gloves, especially if you are helping load food boxes (some may be frozen).
- Water and snacks will be provided to keep you hydrated and energized.
