Spend a day teaching at Delores Gonzales Elementary School!
JA of NM is hosting a JA in a Day at Delores Gonzales Elementary School on Monday, November 18th, and we have four classrooms (Second- and Fourth-Grade) in need of a volunteer. We welcome teams of volunteers, so bring a co-worker, spouse, or friend to co-teach with you!
How do I prepare?
- Email Jordana Thompson, programs@newmexicoja.org, and let her know you're ready to volunteer!
- Jordana will provide you with free, virtual training and the materials needed for your lessons.
What happens on the day of?
- Volunteers will arrive at 7:45 am to check in and participate in the morning volunteer meeting.
- JA of NM staff will be onsite to outline the plan for the day and provide volunteer support.
- JA of NM will provide lunch for all volunteers.
- Volunteers are free to leave once they've taught all their lessons, and all volunteers will be asked to finish their lessons by 1:00 pm.
