Special Events Volunteers

Event Experience Creators

NAMI Albuquerque is looking for creative, organized, and community-minded volunteers to help plan and support special events throughout the year. From community outreach events and volunteer appreciation activities to fundraisers, family events, and NAMIWalks, you'll help create experiences that bring people together while promoting mental health awareness across Albuquerque.

Volunteers are invited to participate in our weekly Special Events Planning Meeting every Wednesday from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM, where we'll brainstorm new ideas, plan upcoming events, and take ownership of projects that help strengthen our community.

Some of the projects we're currently developing include:

NAMI on Campus at UNM and CNM

Back-to-School Mental Health Poster Contest

Community Mental Health Forum featuring local organizations

Monthly Mental Health & Wellness Book Club

Volunteer Appreciation Brunch (Annual)

End of The Year Holiday Party

Community awareness events and family activities

Fundraising events

New ideas brought forward by our volunteers

Whether you have event planning experience or simply enjoy bringing people together, we'd love to have you on the team.

Together, we'll turn great ideas into meaningful community impact.

One Community. One Conversation. One Albuquerque.
