Become a Front Desk Ambassador for Albuquerque Open Space
OSVC Front desk volunteers are the first impression of the Open Space Visitor Center. Of course the task of answering the phones are incorporated in the two hour shift duties, but our Open Space Front Desk Volunteers are also ambassadors for the Albuquerque Outdoors for visitors who come from all over the world in hopes to find a great hiking trail.
If you are not familiar with the History of Open Space Division your training will be helpful. If you are looking for a beautiful place to spend a few hours a week greeting people come sign up for a shadow shift.
The Albuquerque Open Space Building is accessible for residents of all ability levels, and the physical demands of this volunteer position minor.
Volunteers are often asked about the exhibits at the center, which serves as an art and culture museum for works celebrating our natural world. Visitor Center volunteers receive training to become experts on the facility and exhibits.
Volunteers with a background in customer service are particularly encouraged to apply, as our front-desk volunteers are the face of our facility and programming.
