Hi Community Leaders and Neighbors,
We’re building a city where everyone is heard—and we need your help to make it happen!
The Office of Equity and Inclusion and the APD Language Access Division are looking for passionate volunteers to support our Language Access Month of Action: A "One Albuquerque" Showcase. This is a powerful opportunity to help your fellow residents navigate city services and celebrate the diverse languages that make our community strong.
Event Details:
- When: Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Where: Civic Plaza (1 Civic Plaza NW)
How you can help:
- Welcome & Guide: Greet community members and help them navigate the showcase.
- Distribute Resources: Help hand out "I-Speak" cards and posters that empower residents to identify their primary language to city staff.
- Engage: Support our interactive demos, including hands-on learning with the Office of Civic Engagement.
- Support Inclusion: Work alongside Mayor Tim Keller and city leaders to showcase Albuquerque’s progress in accessibility.
Whether you're a student, a professional, or just someone who loves our city, your time can help bridge the gap for our Limited English Proficient (LEP) neighbors.
