Keep Albuquerque Beautiful, in partnership with Fuse Makerspace, is excited to host this year's fall Fix It Clinic! This free, all-ages event provides a unique opportunity for participants to bring their broken household items—such as bikes, small appliances, electronics, and sewing projects—and learn how to repair them with the guidance of experienced coaches. Instead of sending these items to the landfill, attendees will learn valuable skills in assessing, disassembling, and fixing their belongings.
The FixIt Clinic is more than just a repair event; it’s an educational experience that fosters sustainability and creativity. Last year, more than 150 people participated in diagnosing and repairing over 200 items, with attendees expressing high satisfaction from the hands-on, expert assistance they received. In response to the increased interest, we're hosting a fall Fix It Clinic this year in addition to our annual spring event.
We are looking for skilled individuals who are handy and experienced in sewing, woodwork, leatherwork, electronics, small appliances, and jewelry. We invite you to register as a coach if you have any of these skills.
