Albuquerque and Bernalillo County residents are encouraged to take advantage of this free opportunity to dispose of up to 55 gallons of household hazardous waste. The drive-thru event will allow residents to drive up and drop off all waste that's not allowed in your normal trash and recycling cart.
To participate, residents must fill out the Participant Form. Bring the completed, printed form on the day of the event.
Examples of household hazardous waste include waste that can burn easily (flammable), corrode or irritate skin (corrosive), or poison humans and animals (toxic).

- Cleaners
- Pesticides
- Pool chemicals
- Used motor oil (automotive fluids)
- Automobile batteries
- Propane containers
- Maximum: 10 gal.. or 40 lbs. Three sizes: Coleman camp stove, BBQ size, and RV size.
- Medical-grade oxygen cylinders
- Over-the-counter medications
