The Victim Advocate Volunteer will require volunteers to meet with victims one-on-one in a confidential setting. Our VAV will create a support system that will enable survivors of violence to successfully secure orders of protection by enhancing their safety and well-being.
Formal training will be provided by APD Professional Victim Advocates. We will ensure a flexible schedule to meet APD, the survivor and the Volunteer's needs. This opportunity will be in 4 hour shifts. On-going support will be available.
