Description

Our program's mission is to utilize community volunteers to assist the Albuquerque Police Department in improving the quality of life in our community. 

 

Even though volunteers are not commissioned with sworn officer status, the duties that you will perform as part of the Department’s support staff are crucial to the Department. Sworn officers and civilian employees handle some of the administrative tasks with which you will be involved. By assisting with these tasks, you are releasing officers to handle higher priority calls for service, assisting civilian employees which will help them to serve in a pro-active capacity in the community. We sincerely appreciate your willingness to become part of the Volunteer Services team.

You must first pass a background check and schedule a time with the Volunteer Coordinator for a sit down interview.
