Volunteer: Walking School Bus Wilson Middle School & Whittier Elementary (25-26)Volunteer Roles Your role as a volunteer involves walking students along a planned route, fostering a sense of security, and building strong relationships with students and families. As a volunteer, you will NOT be asked to conduct traffic. Plus, it is a health initiative: get your steps in while walking students to school. The Walking School bus is led by two paid conductors who are trained in traffic safety procedures. The conductors stop traffic and are responsible for safe crossings. Together, we can reduce absenteeism, improve neighborhood safety, and support student success! Logistics In the 25-26 School Year, we are seeking volunteers from 7am-9am every day that school is in session!
