Volunteer: National River Cleanup Day 2026
Hello There Everyone!
The City of Albuquerque’s Open Space Division is proud to be hosting the National River Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 16th, 2026! We do hope you will join us in this excellent opportunity to act for the community and support our wonderful Rio Grande River and Bosque. We will be gathering at 8:30AM on the West side of the Rio Grande at the parking lot closest to the river on the North side of Central (Map Included). This parking area tends to fill up fast so we do recommend carpooling when possible. There will be snacks, coffee, and juice before we get started on our projects. Please check the weather before hand and make sure you dress appropriately (we strongly recommend close-toed shoes). Please bring water, sunscreen, and anything else you may need. The Open Space Division will provide all tools and equipment for the projects. We will meet up again at noon and, if you hang around there will be a raffle of prizes donated by our wonderful sponsors (as well as a prize for the most interesting item of trash).
