Social Media Coordinator – Intern Angels' Voices Silenced No More (AVSNM)

Angels' Voices Silenced No More (AVSNM) is a New Mexico-based nonprofit dedicated to advocacy, awareness, and support for families of the missing and murdered. We are seeking a part-time volunteer intern to support our social media presence and help us connect with the communities we serve.

About the Role

The Social Media Coordinator Intern works directly with AVSNM board leadership to plan, create, and publish content across our social media channels. This is a flexible, remote-friendly position requiring approximately 5 to 10 hours per week — a great opportunity for a student or early-career professional looking to build nonprofit communications experience.

Key Responsibilities

Create and schedule engaging content across AVSNM's social media platforms Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement and flag items for board response Research relevant awareness dates, hashtags, and campaigns aligned with our mission Support promotion of AVSNM events, programs, and initiatives Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across platforms Provide basic monthly reporting on reach, engagement, and follower growth

What We're Looking For

Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and other major social platforms Basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar tools is a plus Strong written communication and a sensitivity to the communities we serve Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Students in communications, marketing, social work, or related fields are encouraged to apply

This is an unpaid volunteer internship. Hours are flexible and the role is primarily remote. A letter of recommendation and verification of hours is available upon request for academic or professional purposes.

Secretary – Board of Directors Angels' Voices Silenced No More (AVSNM)

Angels' Voices Silenced No More (AVSNM) is a New Mexico-based nonprofit dedicated to advocacy, awareness, and support for families of the missing and murdered. We are seeking a volunteer Secretary to join our Board of Directors and help keep our organization running with clarity and accountability.

About the Role

The Secretary serves as a voting board member and is responsible for the accurate documentation and communication of AVSNM's organizational activities. This role is essential to good governance and ensures the board operates with transparency and continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Record and distribute accurate minutes for all board meetings Maintain official organizational records, documents, and correspondence Track board member attendance and ensure quorum requirements are met Assist with preparation and distribution of meeting agendas in coordination with the President File required reports and maintain compliance documentation as needed Serve as a point of contact for official organizational correspondence

What We're Looking For

Strong organizational and written communication skills Attention to detail and ability to produce clear, accurate records Familiarity with basic office tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 Experience with nonprofit governance or administrative roles is a plus Passion for justice and the families we serve Ability to attend monthly board meetings and contribute meaningfully between sessions

About the Role

The Marketing Director serves as a voting board member and leads all strategic communications and brand efforts for AVSNM. This is a working board seat — the right candidate brings both strategic vision and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and oversee AVSNM's marketing and communications strategy across digital, social, and print channels Manage brand consistency and messaging in alignment with the organization's mission and values Lead promotional campaigns for AVSNM programs, initiatives, and events Support sponsorship and community outreach efforts through compelling storytelling and collateral development Collaborate with board leadership on media relations, press releases, and public-facing communications Guide social media strategy and content planning

What We're Looking For
