On May 9, 2026 - the community is invited to come together for Paint the Plaza Red, a powerful day of remembrance, advocacy, and solidarity. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Civic Plaza in Albuquerque. Paint the Plaza Red is a dual city event in partnership with Coalition To Stop Violence Against Native Women, Three Sisters Collective, Native Community Health Network, City of Albuquerque and City of Santa Fe. In honor of the national day of awareness (May 5th) the collaborating organizations and Good Heart Medicine Tour are coming together to celebrate the work of advocates, organizations and families. Sponsors include the Fund for Nonviolence, Fulcrum Fund, Pojoaque Pueblo, Nambé Pueblo, and San Ildefonso Pueblo. The event is a call to action to unite our voices and efforts as we move forward in our initiatives. Community, allies, advocacy organizations are invited to come out to join us for a day of music, art, and incredible speakers.
