Volunteer: Pet Food Distribution - International District LibraryVolunteer With Us: Friday Morning Pet Food Distribution
Do you love supporting animals? If so, we invite you to join us on Friday mornings. Each week, Vets for Pets distributes dog and cat food, water, and basic pet supplies to families and individuals in need. We operate on two seasonal cycles: Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall. During our current Winter/Spring session, distribution begins promptly at 10:00 AM. When temperatures rise, we shift to an earlier start time to better serve the community and protect volunteers and participants from the heat. Volunteers may meet us at 9:00 AM at 500 Wisconsin Street NE to help load and organize supplies, or meet us directly at the International District Library (7601 Central Avenue NE), where distribution begins promptly at 10:00 AM. This is hands-on, community-facing work. You will help deliver essential resources, connect with pet owners, and ensure that families and their companion animals receive consistent support. Whether you can serve regularly or occasionally, your participation makes a real difference. Organization: New Mexico Veterans for Pets Volunteer With Us: Friday Morning Pet Food Distribution
