Opportunities From: One Albuquerque Volunteers

Barrett Foundation is putting together a small volunteer crew to help us tackle a shed clean-out and make space for all the amazing donations coming in! If you’re up for a little organizing, good energy, and teamwork, we’d love to have you join us. This December, the Barrett Foundation is looking for a guest chef (or culinary team) to bring warmth and good food to our kitchen — serving a special meal for 40 women and 10 children staying with us. We’re hoping for someone who can plan, prepare, and provide the food for the meal, helping make the season a little brighter for the families in our care. If you love to cook and want to give back in a meaningful way, this is your chance to make a real difference. When: Any day in December Who: You (or your team!) Barrett Foundation is looking for helping hands in the kitchen on weekends! If you enjoy pitching in, staying active, and making a difference for our guests, we’d love your help.

Shifts available:

First shift: 3:30 – 5:30 PM – Prep food for dinner and set it out for guests.

Second shift: 5:30 – 7:00 PM – Wash dishes, put food away, and wipe down counters.

The Barrett Foundation is looking for a volunteer group to assist our housing clients with moving in and out of their homes. This hands-on opportunity is a meaningful way to support individuals and families as they transition into stable housing. Barrett Foundation is a shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to end the experience of homelessness for women and children by providing shelter, housing and supportive services. Barrett Foundation is looking for a haircut and/or manicure volunteer who can come to our shelter and provide these services for our ladies. If you are interested, please call 505-246-9244 ext. 108 to speak with the development assistant and set up an appointment.
