ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Shelter Helper / Resident Greeter Volunteers Duties Greets all residents in a kind, courteous, respectful mannerSign residents in and out/Open gates/Watch cameras/Provide and take room keys Taking residents to the laundry Taking the residents to open the door because they got locked out of their room Provide their key to get into the medication locker Provide leftover meals/milk Provide toilet paper, feminine products, and all other toiletries upon request Bag and restock snacks Anything staff could use help with upon request (restocking wipes, diapers, pads, cleaning/organizing office, folding linens, washcloths, etc.)PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. We’re looking for compassionate volunteers to assist our Resident Advocates in the shelter office. S.A.F.E. House is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence through shelter, advocacy, and empowerment. Our volunteers play a vital role in making this possible.
