This opportunity supports dogs in need of a break from living in the shelter. They may be experiencing stress from living in a kennel long term or they may need a break from the shelter and to spend time in a loving home. The foster parent may market them for adoption during this time. It is also so helpful to support them by training basic skills such as sit and loose leash walking. This opportunity not only supports the foster dog in the home, but helps another dog by providing an open kennel to someone in need. 

This opportunity supports adult cats in need of a break from the shelter by bringing them into your home while they wait for their forever home. We provide supplies, you provide the love. 

This opportunity is for taking a nursing mother and her babies into your home until the puppies are weaned and big enough for adoption. They don't require too much work, just a quiet, healthy place. With your help the puppies will be social butterflies and mom will have a safe place to help her babies thrive.

AWD will provide guidance in their recovery. Help them recover and find their forever home!
