Opportunities From: One Albuquerque Volunteers

NAMI Albuquerque is looking for creative, organized, and community-minded volunteers to help plan and support special events throughout the year. From community outreach events and volunteer appreciation activities to fundraisers, family events, and NAMIWalks, you'll help create experiences that bring people together while promoting mental health awareness across Albuquerque.

Volunteers are invited to participate in our weekly Special Events Planning Meeting every Wednesday from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM, where we'll brainstorm new ideas, plan upcoming events, and take ownership of projects that help strengthen our community.

Volunteer Requirement: Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Be one of the first friendly faces attendees meet. You'll greet guests, assist with check-in, distribute conference materials, answer questions, and help everyone feel welcomed from the moment they arrive.

The NAMI Albuquerque FaithNet Conference brings together faith leaders, mental health professionals, individuals with lived experience, family members, advocates, community organizations, and volunteers for a day of learning, connection, and hope. Through inspiring speakers, educational workshops, meaningful conversations, and community partnerships, the conference encourages faith communities to become places where mental health can be discussed with compassion, understanding, and support.

This conference reflects NAMI Albuquerque's mission to build better lives for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions through education, support, advocacy, and community awareness. Together with our faith partners, we are working to reduce stigma, strengthen relationships, and create communities where every person feels welcomed, valued, and supported.

Volunteers on this team help document meaningful moments, support storytelling efforts, highlight volunteer engagement, and help strengthen NAMI Albuquerque’s social media presence and community outreach efforts. NAMI Albuquerque is seeking Volunteer Grant Writers to help expand mental health education, support programs, advocacy efforts, and community outreach throughout New Mexico.

As a Volunteer Grant Writer, you will work alongside our Grant Writing Team to research funding opportunities, gather information, help answer grant questions, and assist with developing proposals that support NAMI Albuquerque's mission.

Grant writing is more than seeking funding. It is helping tell the story of our community, our programs, and the individuals and families we serve. Your efforts can help connect NAMI Albuquerque with organizations that want to invest in mental health services and community support.
