8/08/20 2nd Saturday – The History of Tribal Sovereignty in NM
For centuries, pueblos have fought to assert and maintain their rights to land, water and self-determination. The history of sovereignty on Indian lands describes how these pueblos fought to sustain their threatened populations and maintain their agricultural base through legal means and land acquisition. Join us Saturday, August 8th as Isleta historian, Albuquerque Museum emeritus and public educator, Rosalee Lucero, explores the dynamics of sovereignty in Pueblo life.
