The City of Albuquerque, Department of Health, Housing, and Homelessness is having a Back to School event for children and residents at Gateway Family. This facility cares for around 65 families and, with your help, we can send every child Back to School, prepared for success.
Most needed items:
- #2 pencils
- 24 packs of crayons
- Composition & spiral notebooks
- Pocket folders
- Loose-leaf paper
- Glue sticks
- Colored pencils
- Highlighters
- Headphones (wired is preferable)
- Clothing for children of all ages
Donations may be dropped off at the Gateway Center on Saturday, August 1st from 9am - 1pm. Please email bkarnezis@cabq.gov for directions and further information.
They may also be dropped off at any of our four Health and Social Services Centers:

Ruth Adams Health & Social Services Center
John Marshall Health & Social Services Center
Los Griegos Health & Social Services Center
Finally, donations may be dropped off at the Albuquerque Press Club.
