Who We Are

Our Vision To love and mentor participants in Christian principles that will empower, encourage and enlighten women in transition from incarceration to their families and communities in New Mexico. Our Mission A Peaceful Habitation provides: Structured, supportive life skills and recovery workshops, parenting, financial planning, trauma healing and other workshops. One-on-one mentoring and community partnerships to assist participants in their journeys back to family and community life. Teaching the Word of God and Christian morals and principles.​ Referrals and resources for our participants to comply with all their probation/ parole mandates. History: A Peaceful Habitation was started by Leticia Chavez-Paulette, 21 years ago, who experienced what it's like for individuals being released from incarceration and not having the resources available to have a successful reintegration with society and be able to maintain their sobriety and non-criminal behavior.

What We Do

A Peaceful Habitation is a faith-based non-profit 501(c)3. We offer transitional housing to women who are marginalized or justice-involved. We also have a wellness center where we offer CPSW and CCSS wraparound services by connecting men, women, and families to much needs resources.
