Who We Are

We are a group of agencies and individuals committed to a resilient future for all New Mexicans. Largely supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Program, the initiative seeks to outline a path toward a resilient future for all New Mexicans in the face of extreme weather and climate pollution. This effort is facilitated out of the City of Albuquerque's Office of Sustainability.

What We Do

The Resilient Futures Initiative brings together diverse stakeholders for collaborative strategic planning and coordinated action. By volunteering, ambassadors will help:

  1. Increase local capacity to plan for, mitigate, and adapt to extreme weather events and climate pollution,
  2. Co-develop a series of strategic plans that prioritize the health, safety, and resilience of our most vulnerable communities, and
  3. Galvanize action towards shared goals and priorities developed in the initiative.
