Who We Are

The Kindness Project of ABQ is a community group that focuses on spreading love and kindness in the community and inspiring others to do the same.  It was founded 11 years ago as Gift Givers Anonymous.  We have since changed our name to Kindness Project of ABQ.

What We Do

The Kindness Project of ABQ collects gently used and new gifts throughout the year to gift the community anonymously during the holiday season.  We host community gift wrapping parties for the community to help us wrap the gifts and to gift throughout ABQ.  The majority of the gifts will go to non-profits throughout ABQ that assist veterans, long term care facilities, individuals coming out of domestic violence, homelessness and other life changing experiences.

Each year the Kindness Project gifts 500 - 2,000 gifts throughout the community anonymously.  Elementary and middle school children help us create homemade gift bags and greeting cards for us to gift the community.

We also save about 50 gifts that we then go out as a group gifting anonymously throughout the community to spread love and kindness and remind each of us that small acts of kindness can have a tremendous impact in the world.
