Credit Unions all share the same philosophy: people helping people. We pride ourselves on serving members, not only as a financial institution, but also through financial education, community, and charitable causes.
What We Do
In 1948, 15 employees of Sandia National Laboratories saw the need for a credit union in Albuquerque. Since then, Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union has been dedicated to offering high value and outstanding personal service. Today, SLFCU has 10 branches in New Mexico and California's Bay Area, more than 115,000 members, and more than $3.1 billion in assets.
As a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative that exists solely to serve its members, SLFCU offers competitive rates on certificates, credit cards, home loans and auto loans, and savings and checking accounts. We don’t focus on making profits and paying stockholders. Instead, we use earnings to lower loan rates, raise savings rates, and reduce fees. SLFCU offers the mortgages, consumer loans, and secure deposit accounts you need for financial success.
