New Mexico Art League
Mission Statement: To inspire and educate artists of all ages and abilities while promoting
awareness of fine art.
The New Mexico Art League is an art school and gallery founded in 1929 by art professors and students from the University of New Mexico. Such artists as Raymond Jonson, Ernest L. Blumenschein, Henriette Wyeth and Peter Hurd, who all believed in and worked toward creating this haven for New Mexico artists.
What We Do
The non-profit Art League offers an ambitious schedule of events that include workshops and classes taught by accomplished artists from New Mexico and around the country.
Events
Gallery exhibitions featuring artists who live and work in New Mexico,
as well as lectures and demonstrations by artists and scholars sharing their unique
areas of study.
Classes
Studio art classes are offered in the fall, winter and spring, along with
summer workshops, plus visiting artist workshops in March and November.
