What We Do

Meeting Rooms

Rudolfo Anaya North Valley has one meeting room that will hold a maximum of 35 people. Policy, rules and required forms for using the meeting room may be found at Meeting and Study Rooms as well as a list of meeting rooms at other branches.

Study Rooms

Rudolfo Anaya North Valley has two study rooms that will hold a maximum of four people each. The study rooms are available on a first come, first served basis and may not be reserved. Check in at the Information Desk with your library card to gain access to the study room.

Fiction To Go  We are a Fiction to Go location! What is Fiction to Go? The Friends for the Public Library sells slightly used, recently published fiction titles for $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks. Like all funds that our Friends receive, all proceeds from Fiction to Go sales benefit the Public Library!

Baby and Toddler Storytime    families
Enjoy an interactive storytime with your child that includes early literacy fun with books, songs, fingerplays and body movement. Weekly Baby and Toddler Storytime is targeted for ages 0 - 3.

E-reader & Computer Help    adults
Saturday 10 to 11 am. One-on-one help downloading eBooks to your device, learning basic computer skills including searching the Internet, typing a Word document or creating an email account. Registration required, please call to register (505-897-8823).

Monthly Children’s Craft    children
Join us each month for a fun children’s craft.

Music and Movement   families
Enjoy a fun way to develop early literacy skills in young children with music, dancing, singing, stories and the exploration of simple musical concepts. Ages 0-6.

Not Just Knitters    adults
Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting or other fiber arts? Join our friendly group. We meet weekly to work on personal and community projects, view demonstrations, improve our skills or learn new ones and enjoy lively conversation.

Read to the Dogs    children
Children can read aloud to registered therapy dogs in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great way for them to gain confidence in their reading ability. Read to the Dogs.

Sensory Friendly Hour   all ages
3rd Saturday of the month. Join us for a special browsing hour for individuals on the autism spectrum and for anyone who appreciates a sensory friendly environment. Program details and schedule here
