What We Do

Meeting Rooms

Cherry Hills has one meeting room that will hold a maximum of 55 people. Policy, rules and required forms for using the meeting room may be found at Meeting and Study Rooms as well as a list of meeting rooms at other branches.

Study Rooms

Cherry Hills has two study rooms that will hold a maximum of six people each. The study rooms may be reserved (call 857-8321) up to one week in advance for no more than two hours per person/group a day. Check in at the Information Desk with your library card to gain access to the study room.

Fiction To Go  We are a Fiction to Go location! What is Fiction to Go? The Friends for the Public Library sells slightly used, recently published fiction titles for $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks. Like all funds that our Friends receive, all proceeds from Fiction to Go sales benefit the Public Library!

An Itch to Stitch    adults
Join our weekly drop-in stitching group! All skill levels welcome!

Cherry Hills Writes    adults
Meets monthly on Tuesday evenings.  All genre writers and skill levels welcome.  Ages 16 and up.

Digital Basics 1:1    adults
One on one help with tablets, library apps or with basic computer questions. 9am to 10am every Friday. Registration required.

First Friday Book Group    adults
Meets monthly in the morning. View what we'll be reading this year.

Genealogy 1:1    adults
Meet 1:1  on Wednesday mornings with our genealogy consultant to explore your ancestry.  Please bring a USB drive.  Registration required.

Mystery Book Group    adults
Meets monthly on Tuesday evenings. View what we'll be reading this year.

Sci-Fi Book Group    adults
Meets monthly on Sunday afternoons. View what we'll be reading this year.

Third Tuesday Book Group    adults
Meets monthly in the evenings. View what we’ll be reading this year.

Urban Homesteading Group    adults
Meets monthly on second Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

College Knowledge    teens
Workshop led by Glenda Durano for college bound students and their parents on various topics.

 

Children

Baby and Toddler Storytime    families
Enjoy an interactive storytime with your child that includes early literacy fun with books, songs, fingerplays and body movement. Weekly Baby and Toddler Storytime on Wednesday and Thursday mornings is targeted for ages 0 - 2.

Kids STEAM Drop-In    ages 5 - 12
A weekday drop-in program on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Each week will focus on a different STEAM related activity. No registration required but a parent must be present.

Let's LEGO    ages 6 - 12
Participate in Lego building around a theme or just for fun. Monthly on Sundays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m..

Preschool STEAM    ages 3 - 5
Join us each month on Monday mornings for fun art or science activities. Child must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required.

Preschool Storytime    families
Join in the fun on Wednesday and Thursday mornings with stories, songs, puppets and more that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children. Weekly Preschool Storytime is targeted for ages 3 - 5.

Read to the Dogs    children
Practice reading with a patient listener. Therapy dogs provide a relaxing space to read without fear of judgment. Semimonthly - 1st & 3rd Saturdays from 1 p.m to 3 p.m. See more information about this program.

Master Gardeners    adults
Got gardening questions? Consult a Master Gardener. Walk-ins welcome. 2nd and 4th Saturdays.10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March – August.
